Our History
Agoro Sare Senior School was established in 1958 in Oyugis, along the Kisii–Kisumu road in Homa Bay County. Over more than six decades it has grown from a small institution into one of the region's best-known boys' boarding schools, now categorised as a National School with a student population of over 2,350.
The school has built a strong reputation both academically and in co-curricular life, particularly athletics and basketball, while producing graduates who have gone on to national prominence — including, in 2020, the top-ranked KCSE student in the whole of Kenya. Guided by its motto, "Labour to Success," Agoro Sare continues to combine rigorous academics with the discipline and character formation expected of a leading national school.

Traditions
Guided by the simple yet profound principle: "Labour to Success"
Three Star — represented in our school colours of Red, White, Gold and Black.
Leadership
The leadership behind the discipline, structure and results at Agoro Sare Senior School.

"Education is not simply about academic excellence; it is about nurturing disciplined, confident and responsible young people who are prepared to make a meaningful difference in society. At our school, we are committed to providing every learner with the knowledge, skills, values and opportunities they need to discover their potential and become responsible leaders of tomorrow."
As Principal, I am committed to fostering a culture of academic excellence, discipline, integrity and holistic development.
